Reiki Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy therapy that patients seek out for a wide range of reasons — pre-surgical preparation, pain management, mental health support, neuropathy, and general stress relief. Sessions typically run 30 minutes to an hour, tailored to your needs. (Note: like acupuncture, Reiki is not covered by insurance and is paid out-of-pocket per session.)

Meet The Doctor
Dr. Itasca L. Waiters, DC, has been practicing chiropractic care for more than 15 years, and Waiters Chiropractic is proud to now call Richton Park home. A graduate of Life University's Chiropractic School in Marietta, GA, Dr. Waiters brings a personal understanding to every patient she treats: after being in an accident, she sought chiropractic care for back pain — and discovered it also relieved leg pain she'd been living with for years without realizing chiropractic care could help. That experience is what led her to the profession, and it still shapes how she treats every patient today.
Dr. Waiters specializes in personal injury, sports injuries, back pain, headaches, and sciatica, and as a Reiki Master, also treats patients with acupuncture and Reiki, with a warm, friendly, and often funny bedside manner that puts patients at ease from the first visit.
A Chicago Heights native and Bloom High School graduate (former cheerleader and active in numerous school activities), Dr. Waiters has stayed rooted in giving back to the community she grew up in, volunteering with organizations like PADS and Habitat for Humanity. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying involved in local volunteer work.
